From the day we closed on our house, I had visions of walking my daughter to school. Granted, she was still in-utero at the time but my view of the future was clear. Those 5 years went fast and that vision became what is now the 8:20 a.m. rush out the door to walk to school and arrive on time.
Verona’s elementary schools are set up so that we all have the opportunity to walk and hopefully get our kids to school on time. And if you have a child who will be five before Oct. 1, 2010, it’s time to register for kindergarten.
All of Verona’s elementary schools will be distributing registration packets from January 11 to 15 between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. You must return the completed packet, including medical forms, your child’s original birth certificate and proof of residency, to a school no later than Friday, January 15.

Brown School is at 125 Grove Avenue and the phone number is (973) 571-6753. The address for Forest Avenue School is 118 Forest Avenue and the phone number is (973) 571-6754. Laning Avenue School is located at 18 Lanning Road and its phone number is (973) 571-6755.
