If you could add one new service to Verona’s budget, what would it be?
If the Town of Verona were to add a new service it should be one that has the potential for future cost savings. I believe we should explore the possibility of being able to both bill and pay our water and sewer bills on line. This could also be applied to our quarterly property tax bills where the homeowner is paying directly. Electronic funds transfer and online bill paying are becoming the norm. Every new service has to be considered in light of budget constraints. This added service would be a convenience for the residents and save money in the long term by reducing the need for payments to be processed by check.
