The Junior Women’s Club of Verona’s annual Spelling Bee for fourth and fifth grade students will take place on Saturday, January 20, but the last day to register to participate is Friday, January 5.
The bee is open to students who are enrolled in Verona schools, or who are residents of Verona.
The Spelling Bee will be held in the F.N. Brown Elementary School Auditorium. Fourth and fifth grade students will compete together in one Bee. The competition will start promptly at 10 a.m., but students should arrive by 9:40 a.m. for check-in.
The top three students from this competition will represent Verona at the Liberty-Palisades District Spelling Bee in February. District winners will then go on to a State competition on April 20.
