The Thrift Shop at First Presbyterian Church of Verona will be closed today (Tuesday, December 19) due to flooding. The volunteer staff worked diligently Monday to clear out the water from the recent rain, but more work needs to be done.

The shop hopes to be open on Thursday, December 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for their last day of 2023. For the rest of the year and until February 20, 2024 the shop will be closed as work is being done on the church stairwell which leads to the shop. Donations will not be accepted during the closure due to the construction.

Up-to-date information on the shop can be found on its Facebook page.

The First Presbyterian Church of Verona is located at 10 Fairview Avenue, just off the intersection of Bloomfield Avenue. The church will hold its annual “Blue Christmas” service on Thursday. For information on that, and all its Christmas services, click here.
