The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit will hold an all-day workshop on suicide prevention on Saturday, October 29.
The program is called Soul Shop, and it is specifically aimed at leaders of faith communities, at all levels.
It is estimated that one out of every two people in a given congregation have personally been affected by suicide. Co-sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Soul Shop equips participants with the resources and guidance they need to foster hope and healing in their community.
The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Holy Spirit, which is located in the center of Verona at 36 Gould Street. There is no cost to attend, but participants must register in advance and spots are limited. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
