The Junior Women’s Club of Verona has been serving the Verona community for over 95 years. While its fundraising efforts took a brief hiatus over the past couple of years, its commitment to the community never wavered: Even through the height of the pandemic, members banned together to continue its support of integral community programs including the Verona Health Department’s Adopt-A-Family Program and the Verona Rescue Squad. This fall, the Junior Women’s Club is aiming to reinvigorate its fundraising campaign so it may continue its tradition of service to the people of Verona.
On Friday, September 16, the Junior Women’s Club is hosting its first-ever Taste of Verona. This event will celebrate the community and Verona’s food scene. It will feature a beer and wine tasting provided by Verona Wine Cellar and will showcase Verona-based caterers including Anthony Franco’s, Eight Hills Catering, Frank Anthony’s Fine Catering, Miele’s, Tia’s Food of Love and the all-new Umai Sushi & Steakhouse. The night will also include a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing.
There are several ways the community can participate, from buying event and 50/50 tickets to donating to the silent auction and the event itself. All of the information can be found on the website, tasteofveronanj.com and the club will be sharing updates on its Facebook and Instagram pages (@tasteofveronanj and @veronajuniors). If anyone has questions, they can email the club at [email protected].
