Verona public schools

We’re barely out of one election, but there will be another one in Verona before the year is out. The terms of two Board of Education members are up in 2021 and the New Jersey School Boards Association has posted the candidate kit that you’ll need if you intend to run.

This year’s school board election will be held on Tuesday November 2. The deadline for candidates to submit their nominating petition is 4 p.m. on Monday, July 26. As with the municipal election, candidates will be able to collect signatures for their petitions electronically.

The terms of Pam Priscoe and Tim Alworth end this year. Priscoe said, in response to an email from MyVeronaNJ.com, that she does intend to run for re-election. Alworth has not responded to our email.

All of the details on filing to run for the BOE are here.
