Mrs. Marie Fierro, 94, of North Hanover, N.J. died on September 30, 2020 in Mount Holly, N.J.
Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona, on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. with a funeral mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Ave., Verona. Facial masks must be worn and social distancing observed.
Born in Glen Ridge, Mrs. Fierro grew up in Bloomfield and resided in Verona for 46 years before moving to North Hanover six years ago.
A lifelong homemaker for her loving family, she also worked in the bakery department for Kings Supermarkets in Verona.
Mrs. Fierro was predeceased by her husband, Dominick Anthony Fierro; her parents, Nicola and Mariarosa (nee Scarano) Acocella; and her brother, Joseph Acocella.
She is survived by her children, Benjamin Fierro, III (Marylou) and Anna-Louise Doremus (Bruce); grandchildren Meredith Fierro, Jonathan Fierro, Steven Doremus (Christine) and Nicholas Doremus; and great-granddaughter, Julia Doremus.
