The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is inviting the community to paint Kindness Rocks on Thursday, August 22, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Kindness Rocks are stones painted with inspirational designs that are left in public places. The rocks painted in August will be displayed at AFSP’s West Essex Walk in Verona Park on Sunday, October 20 at 1:30 p.m.

The Kindness Rocks event will be held at Holy Spirit Church, which is located just across from the HBW field in the center of Verona. All materials will be provided, but the event is limited to 35 guests. Text your RSVP to (973) 865-8054 by August 20 to reserve your spot.

AFSP raises awareness, funds scientific research and provides resources and aid to those affected by suicide. You can learn more about AFSP’s mission and its resources to prevent suicide and aid survivors by clicking here. You can learn more about AFSP’s West Essex Walk here.
