Verona Police Officer John C. Lecreux left the Target store in East Hannover this morning with a large contingent of fellow officers for a four-day, 300-mile bike ride to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. The ride, known as the Police Unity Tour, raises awareness of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, as well as funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum.

Lecreux is in his sixth year riding for the Police Unity Tour. This year he is riding in remembrance of New York State Trooper Nicholas F. Clark, who was killed in the line of duty on July 2, 2018.
