The Verona Environmental Commission will celebrate Earth Day with a tree giveaway and cleanup at Grove Park on April 21. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at 42 Grove Avenue in Verona.

The tree seedlings are greenhouse grown by the State Forest Service and come in 8″ recyclable tubes with planting instructions. The Commission will have native trees such as Eastern Redbud (pictured), Oaks and Eastern White Pine.

Seedlings planted today will create a forest for our future! If you have any questions please contact the Commission chair, Gloria Machnowski at [email protected].
