On Sunday, August 20, the First Presbyterian Church celebrated the one-year anniversary of Pastor Lynn Rubier-Capron, pictured here with Caleb Smith and Trevor Mescia. The church will resume regular services hours (10:15 a.m.) on Sunday, September 3.
Several special services are planned for the month of September:
- September 10: Service at 10:15 a.m. followed by the annual church picnic on the front lawn. Food and fun for all ages.
- September 17: Service of Blessing of the Animals on the church’s front lawn. All well behaved pets are welcome. There will be refreshments and treats for all following the service.
- September 24: Regular Sunday service at 10:15 followed by the first community concert of the 2017-2018 season. Double Take, a piano duo team comprised of pianists, Jacqueline Schiller-Audi and Diane Battersby will perform a program of crowd pleasers for all ages at 3 p.m. You won’t want to miss these exciting pianists perform on two grand pianos. A donation of $10 is suggested.
- The church thrift shop will re-open in September with hours on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The church is located at 10 Fairview Avenue and there is parking in the lot behind the church.
