After it sets in that your child is about to enter kindergarten in the fall, be sure you’re signed up for the pre-kindergarten workshop at your Verona elementary school. The first of the pre-kindergarten workshops for children who will enter kindergarten in September 2017 will be held on Saturday, February 4.

The purpose of these workshops is to give children the opportunity to meet their future classmates and become familiar with the school environment, while also allowing parents to meet each other. Workshops run from 10 to 11 a.m. and parents are invited to stay for refreshments.

These workshops, sponsored by the Verona elementary school SCAs, are open to children who will be 5 years old by October 1, 2017 and are registered with the Verona Board of Education to enter kindergarten.

Additional workshops will be held on March 4, April 1 and May 6.

Parents who are interested should register at their neighborhood school. If you are not certain which neighborhood school you belong in, call the Verona Board of Education at 973-571-2029.
