On July 20, 2012, a young man who had spent his childhood in Verona was killed in a shooting in a movie theater in Aurora, Colo. Today, there was justice for Alex Teves.
A Colorado jury decided that James Holmes was guilty of murdering Teves and 11 other people who had gone to the theater for a midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises”.
Teves was 24 when he was killed and was attending graduate school at the University of Colorado. His father, Tom Teves said at the time that Teves died trying to protect his girlfriend from being shot.
