BuckholzIsaMrs. Isabelle T. (nee Cavanaugh) Buckholz, 92, died on Thursday, January 8, 2015 in Cortland, N.Y. Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Thursday, January 15 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with a funeral service to be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair.

Born in Orange, Mrs. Buckholz grew up in East Orange and lived in Verona for 49 years prior to moving to Cortland.

She was a eucharistic minister at Our Lady of the Lake Church, a member of the Verona Women’s Club and a volunteer at the Verona Service League Thrift Shop.

Mrs. Buckholz was the wife of the late Albert H. Buckholz, the mother of Patricia Mousel (and her late husband, Paul), Susan Evans (and her husband, Marc), Jeffrey Buckholz (and his wife, Susan) and the late Stephen Buckholz. She was the sister of Paul Cavanaugh and the late James Cavanaugh, Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean McGrath, Erin Orisitian, Benjamin Mousel, Leah Austin, Whitney Hatcher, Taylor Buckholz, Zane Buckholz, great-grandchildren, Quinn Austin, Caitlyn Orisitian, Rebecca Hatcher and Joey Hatcher and great great-grandchild Berreth Buckholz.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Endowment Fund of Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Avenue, Verona, NJ 07044 would be appreciated.
