RoseMurphyMrs. Rose Eva (nee Frint) Murphy, 98, died on Friday, January 9, 2015 in Cedar Grove. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Monday, January 12 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona on Sunday
from 2 to 6 p.m.

Born in Bloomfield, NJ, Mrs. Murphy lived in East Orange, Verona and Caldwell before moving to Cedar Grove in 2004.

She was a member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of the Lake Church and the Verona Senior Citizens. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a Lab dental assistant for the Bake Lite Company in Bloomfield. She was a seamstress, milliner and a local baker whose artfully decorated cakes graced many special occasions.

Mrs. Murphy was the wife of the late Joseph M. Murphy, the mother of Beverly A. DeCheser (and companion, Artie Pasquale), Joseph M. Murphy (and wife, Linda), Kathleen S. Keepers (and husband, Clint), the sister of Florence Sullivan, Douglas Frint, Joan Main and the late Helen, Mildred, Allen, Benjamin, Harry and Charles. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Cedar Grove Ambulance & Rescue Squad would be appreciated.
