On Wednesday, May 29, members of the Verona United Soccer Club were player escorts for the game between the New York Red Bulls and Reading United AC. The game was the third round of the U.S. Open Cup Match.
Verona Boys from the U-11 and U-10 soccer teams escorted the Red Bulls and Reading for the introductions and national anthem. If you watch the game video below, the boys walk out at the 11:40 mark.
The boys would like to thank Steve Jones and Coach Paul Dalton of the Red Bulls, who they say were instrumental in making the event happen.
