Trend, the boutique in the center of Verona, will be holding a special shopping and fundraising event on Thursday, May 9. Shop the store that day and owner Beth Freeman will donate 20% of your purchase price to the Sandy Ground Project.
The organization was created in the wake of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School and it aims to build 26 playgrounds in honor of the victims, many in areas ravaged by Hurricane Sandy.
The fundraising event will take place all day, with wine and cheese from 7 to 9 p.m.
