Church Auction To Benefit Charities

MyVeronaNJ-Tricky-TrayAdults 21 and over can enjoy appetizers, wine, music and socializing — all while helping a good cause at the first-ever charity auction sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell.

The auction, titled, “A Bright Night to Make a Difference”, begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 in the church gynasium at 326 Bloomfield Ave.

There will be a silent and a live auction for over 100 items, including vacation trips to Cape Cod, Mass.; Killington, Vt.; Park City, Utah; Long Beach Island, New Jersey; jewelry, coach bags, handmade blankets, professional photographs and donated services that include gourmet dinners and legal representation. Bidders can win everything from a diamond ring valued at nearly $10,000, to salon services, wine baskets or help with professional needs, including resume writing and college essay writing.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door.

Money raised from the auction will benefit local, national and international charities supported by the church, including: The Caldwell Food Pantry, Strengthen Our Sisters domestic violence shelter, Our Lady of the Valley Soup Kitchen in Orange, and St. Johns Food Kitchen in Newark, among others.
