Boys Lax Falls To Scotch Plains

Lax-SP-2013-2The Verona High School boys lacrosse team fought hard but lost to Scotch Plains 15-4 Saturday morning at Centennial Field.

At the half, Verona remained scoreless but senior Mike Conroy turned things around in the 3rd quarter making a successful shot. Anthony Codella, also a senior, scored two goals in a row in the 4th quarter, and Kyle Thomas followed with a left-handed goal.

Scott Rust made an impressive entry as goalie near the end of the game. The freshman played tough in the third quarter, making three saves for Verona in just a few short minutes.
