MyVeronaNJ-Hilltop-Development-plans1. Field Day: Monday’s Town Council meeting is likely to include a request by Town Manager Joe Martin that the Council approve a $5.1 million bond ordinance to build two multipurpose sports fields on the Hilltop property near the Verona Community Center. If that is the price tag, it represents an increase from a projected $4 million last fall. The debt service on the project would be funded from the payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) monies paid by Cenrose Properties for its Highlands at Hilltop residential development. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Council chambers in Town Hall.
