MyVeronaNJ-Basketball-Slide2. Playoffs And Championships: The Verona High School girls basketball team is the #3 seed in the NJSIAA playoffs and they take on Pompton Lakes at home on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The boys, seeded #5, take on #12 Becton High School of East Rutherford in a home game as well on Tuesday. It starts at 7 p.m. Frankie Greco, Joe Cordasco and Paul Scully will represent Verona in the Region 4 wrestling championship, which starts with a wrestle-off on Wednesday night at West Orange High School. The main event at Regions starts Friday night, also in West Orange. The VHS spring sports start practice on Friday.
