File this under “Taking No Chances”: The Verona Police have sent out a note that, due to the potential for heavy snow on Friday, all Verona public schools and Our Lady of the Lake will have a half day only.
In addition, the Cops & Rockers teen band competition that was to have been held Saturday evening has been postponed. Sgt. Dan Greco does not yet have an alternate date.
JoAnn Short, the director of the Montclair YMCA has let us know that it will provide its regular, full aftercare coverage UNLESS a state of emergency is declared. If that happens, all aftercare parents would be called and asked to pick up children by 4 p.m.
