Team Zoey is hosting its third annual “Spin for Life” spin-a-thon to help raise funds to find a cure for progeria, the fatal rapid-aging disease that has affected a Verona child, Zoey Penny.
The event will be held on Sunday, February 10 from 8 to 11 a.m. at HardBodyz Fitness, 129 Bloomfield Avenue in Verona. There will be 15 teams with each participant responsible for spinning for 30 minutes. Participants can spin as a team or individually with the goal of each team raising a minimum of $60. Sponsorship opportunities are available as well. The spin-a-thon will also have raffle tickets for $5.
Prizes include a six-month HardBodyz membership ($125 value), five personal training sessions ($400 value) and a three-month membership ($75 value). Proceeds  go to the  Progeria Research Foundation.
