Calabrese In Championship Game Tonight

Whether you’re a Notre Dame fan or not, there’s a good, local reason to watch the Discover BCS National Championship game tonight: Carlo Calabrese, number 44 for the Fighting Irish, is a graduate of Verona High School.

Calabrese led the VHS state championship team in 2008. Now, as an inside linebacker for Notre Dame, he’s been leading a defense that has been the key to putting Notre Dame in contention with Alabama tonight.

The game is being played in Sun Life Stadium in Miami, with an 8:30 p.m. start. It will be televised on ESPN, which is FIOS channel 70. The Vegas oddsmakers are heavily favoring ‘Bama, but what do they know?
