PSEG: Here’s Verona Outage Map

Date:

Share post:

With the millions of homes without power around New Jersey, PSE&G has a lot to do. We thought we’d help them along by creating a map with all the addresses without power.

MyVeronaNJ.com will be added to this map as addresses are reported to us. UPDATE: We’ve now learned how to mark entire streets as being dark. Those are the blue lines. If you are not seeing a blue line or dot,  and you have reported your outage to MyVeronaNJ.com try clearing your browser’s history.

  1. Were we supposed to pass you are specific address, if so 73 Newman Ave is without power.

Thanks for being our only connection to the outside world!

  2. Forest Avenue without power. I called PSE&G on November 1, and registered a complaint. I encourage all other Verona residents to do the same in order to get better service from PSE&G.

  3. How come hardly any Linden ave homes…166 linden ave, 168 Linden ave, 164 Linden ave…all of linden has no power.

  4. Rosie and all the rest: I am adding addresses as fast as I can to the map. Unfortunately, Google Maps does not let me tag an entire street at once. I have to go address by address. Hope to finish soon

  5. All of Midwood Ave. still has no power.
However, a new development – at ~5:00PM today I noticed that the traffic light at Linden & Grove is now working.

  6. Vincent place does not have power! We are sandwiched between clairidge drive and Cambridge road and both have power.

  7. Apparently, PSEG has been having update calls with town mayors on a daily basis. Why hasn’t the town communicated (either on its website or through the NIXLE feed) any information from these calls. As usual, Verona does a wonderful job of communicating with its citizens (sarcasm).

  8. Half of Wedgewood Gardens is still out of power…the half that is parallel to Cumberland and Rose Terrace. 30 Wedgewood Drive
We can’t even get through to PSE&G, keeping being told only emergency calls now.

  9. Half of Wedgewood Gardens on the Cumberland Ave/Rose Terrace side is down and has been since 10 PM or so on the night of the storm. The other half of our complex never lost power on the Hamilton side. PSEG has an automated reply that recognizes your phone number. It tells you that you will have power back NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 9TH AT 11:59 PM. Here’s a good question… Has anyone seen that many, if any, PSEG trucks in our town since the day after the storm? I haven’t, and I have had to drive back and forth a bit. There is little or no viable information to be gleaned from anywhere. Everyone recognizes the magnitude of this storm, however, most of Cedar Grove is back online. The PSEG presence was pretty much there from day 2. You’ll hear from them, though, if you boycott paying their inflated bills. Then, they’ll shut you right off.

  10. Hey, I just wanted to say that as of 2:07 PM EDT, Hillside Avenue is without power and power has been out since 9:30 PM on Tuesday.

  11. Thanks for doing this, Virginia! I noticed that many of the blue lines and dots have been removed since yesterday (especially in the Forest Ave. section). Does that mean that power has been restored in those streets?

  12. Hi Virginia. Thank you. I had seen that. It’s probably not accurate. I did hear that there were lots of PSEG employees on the other side of Bloomfield Avenue as of 1:30 PM today. A few of my friends on that side got power. One can hope that they cross the Avenue and take care of Cumberland, Linden, Wedgewood, Floyd, etc. One can hope. I’d be okay with no power if we had HEAT. That’s getting to be a major consideration. I heard that there is a power substation in West Caldwell that has been intentionally shut off to make repairing problems safe. When they turn it on, lots of folks will get power back in one shot. Again, ONE CAN HOPE.
