The H.B. Whitehorne Middle School SCA and Verona Municipal Alliance Committee will be hosting the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey’s “15 Minute Child Break” program Wednesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. The program will be part of the SCA regular meeting.

The “15 Minute Child Break” is a one-hour multi-media presentation on the importance of the parent or caregiver’s role in substance abuse prevention. It will cover how to talk to children about drugs, signs of use and abuse and more.

“We are excited to bring this program to Verona parents,” says Rosanne Bornstein, grant coordinator of VMAC.”Giving parents the information and skills to deal with the difficult issues facing their children is very important to VMAC.” The mission of Verona Municipal Alliance Committee is to bring education and information on wellness to the Verona community.
