Track, Volleyball Teams Set Breast Cancer Fundraisers

The Verona High School girls track & field team is teaming up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in sponsoring its fifth annual “Think Pink” Breast Cancer Walk-A-Thon on Sunday,October 7, from 9 a.m. to noon at track behind H.B. Whitehorne Middle School, rain or shine.

The registration fee is $25, which includes a T-shirt, pink shoelaces and a breast cancer awareness packet. The team is encouraging everyone to join them for the 2-mile walk and be part of the battle against breast cancer. Please make checks payable to V.H.S.Track Boosters and call 973-790-0629 for any questions.

The Verona High School volleyball team will be turning its Monday, October 8 game against Cedar Grove into a fundraiser for breast cancer. The game is being played at Cedar Grove High School starting at 7 p.m. and the team will be taking donations at the door.

All monies collected will go to the Side-Out Foundation.
