For the second straight game junior Matt Braschi scored two goals, which were enough to lead the Hillbillies’ boys soccer team to its fifth win of the season. Playing in a Senior Day doubleheader yesterday at Centennial Field against rival Cedar Grove, the Hillbillies jumped out to a 3-1 half time.  Freshman Bill Gault and senior Shaun Degnan also tallied goals for the Maroon and White. Alec Puerari, Jack Yauch, Troy Carrington and Walt Brandt all added assists. With the 4-1 win the Hillbillies evened their record at 5-5.

The girls team won 2-0 in the nightcap. The Hillbillies and Panthers remained knotted at zero after the first half. However, early in the second half sophomore Claire Fitzpatrick scored on an assist from senior Christine Farawell to take a 1-0 lead.   Senior Olivia Marino added another goal with the assist from Fitzpatrick to help move the Hillbillies record to 7-3 on the season. Diana Flores had two saves in goal.
