Memorial Day in Verona means many things. The Verona Community Pool opens,  we have a parade in town, a long weekend and if the weather holds, perhaps some barbecues.  If you’re looking to enjoy a day at the pool or the parade, but are responsible for bringing something to someone’s house, here are some recipes previously posted on MyVeronaNJ.com that can be made while you’re basking in the sun and picked up just before going to someone’s house.

Chocolate Caramel Pie

Brownies

Melty Mini Chocolate Cakes

Chocolate Apple Cake

Mixed Berry Pie

Chocolate Pudding Cake

Corn Bread Casserole

Risotto With Roasted Spring Vegetables

Baked Beans

The Verona Pool is open from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday and Monday. On Monday, the Memorial Day parade kicks off from Everett Field at 10 a.m. and heads to the center of town for ceremonies in front of Town Hall.
