We rely on our cars in suburbia. But there are many public transportation options, and Verona LIVE will be hosting a seminar on them on Thursday, May 31. You can learn about NJ Transit buses, Access Link vans, local shuttles, and private and county transit programs.
Essex County added 10 buses to its Special Transportation System in May and nine more new buses will be added next month. The Essex County Special Transportation System provides Essex County senior citizens with transportation to doctors’ offices, hospitals, shopping trips and special events.
The Verona LIVE seminar will be held at Our Lady of the Lake from 1 to 2 p.m., and if you’d like to attend, please RSVP tp 973-830-0096.
Verona LIVE is a federally funded program to help older adults remain in our community. It is supported by the U.S. administration on Aging, United Jewish Appeal and the Partners for Health Foundation.
