The BIG5 Lax & Soccer Academy is now taking registrations for summer camp. The focus of the camp for beginners is to learn the basics of their respective sports and for the advanced players, to master their skills. The Montclair-based sports camp is offering four one-week sessions from June 25 to July 20, with no camp on July 4. The boys lacrosse camp is for boys entering kindergarten through 8th grade, and boys and girls soccer camp is for students entering kindergarten through 12th grade.
All camps are run from 9 a.m. to noon and groups are divided according to the grade the child is entering in the fall. Prices range from $125 to $190 (less for the week of July 2) and are based on age, dates and times. Camps will take place at either Renaissance Field or Fortunato Field in Montclair, depending on the session. All registration forms can be downloaded here from the Big 5 Lax and Soccer Academy.
