The Verona Public Library will celebrate National Library Week from April 8 to 14 by offering an amnesty on book fines. Residents who return overdue books during the week will not be charged a fine no matter how long the book has been out.

But savings aren’t the only reason to go to the library next week. On Thursday, April 12, at 3:30 p.m, childrens’ librarian Cheryl Ashley will present “Book Bingo” and promises that everyone will be a winner.

The Friends of the Verona Library will offer a free Friends’ membership with the purchase of a Friends’ tote bag. The Friends will also begin accepting donations of used books for the annual fall book sale.
