On Sunday, October 9 at 3 p.m., the community is invited to bring household pets to be blessed by the Rev. Lucy Ann Dure of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit. “Bring any cherished creature of your choice–properly restrained–for a special blessing as we give thanks for the love of God shown to us by animals, and remember our special duty to care for all God’s creatures,” said the Rev. Dure. This celebration coincides with the celebration of the Feast of St. Francis. Please join us – and bring your camera!

The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit is a Christ-centered church that welcomes and includes all people; worships and learns as a community; encourages individual growth and participation; and shares its gifts with others. The church is located at 36 Gould Street in Verona and draws members from many diverse communities. Come as you are. All are welcome. For more information, contact the church at 973-239-2850 or by e-mail.
