Only 10 seats remain for the Kip’s Castle Park Conservancy’s jazz brunch this Sunday, October 1, on the lawn of Kip’s Castle. The event is being held to kick off the Conservancy’s project to restore the Castle’s beautiful stained-glass windows, which are believed to have been made in New York’s famed Tiffany Studios.
Attendees will enjoy brunch on the lawn, exclusive tours of the Castle and its windows, and the opportunity to see the 360-degree panoramic view from atop the Castle’s turret, which is normally closed to the public.
“It’s a stunning property, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to host this jazz event,” says Karen Pensiero, chairwoman of the Conservancy. “We encourage people to bring their cameras to capture the beauty of the windows, as well as the amazing view of the city and Verona from the open-air turret.” Joining her on the board and in hosting the event are Jane Eliasof, Jeff Farrell, Fred Goode, Pat Hynes, Aran Roche and Michelle Posner.
Tickets to the event, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., are $60 and may be purchased by contacting Michelle Posner, by e-mail or at 973-239-1390.
