The Sons of Verona Memorial Foundation, a group created to honor the lives of Verona High School graduates Christopher Blum and Michael Halpert, is holding a golf outing on Saturday, August 27, to raise funds for their scholarships. This past June, the foundation awarded its second scholarship of $5,000 to Michael Verschleiser, VHS Class of 2011.
The golf event will be held at The Meadows golf course in Lincoln Park. Lunch and registration starts at 1 p.m., with a shotgun start at 2:45 p.m. The price is $155 for golfers and $95 for non-golfers, which includes a $50 tax-deductible donation to the foundation.
