Obituaries: Irmal C. Dewar

Mrs. Irmal C. Dewar died on Saturday, July 16, 2011 in West Caldwell. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, on Tuesday, July 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held in the Hollywood Memorial Park, Union on Wednesday, July 20 at 11 a.m.

Born in Trucksville, Penn., Mrs. Dewar moved to Verona in 1962. She worked as a crossing guard for the Borough of Verona at the corner of Hill Street and Montrose Avenue from 1969 to 2004, and was active in the United Methodist Church of Verona.

She is the wife of William A. Dewar, the mother of Lee Baker, Gloria Jean Greene, Gary Roe, Lisa Smith, Michael Dewar, the sister of the late James Baker and aunt of Pearl Baker and Barbara Heins. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Methodist Church of Verona would be appreciated.
