On Saturday, April 30, the Verona Police Department will be participating in a statewide drug disposal event called Operation Take Back New Jersey. You can bring unused, unwanted and expired medicine to the police department between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

This is the third year for Operation Take Back New Jersey, whose goal is to keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands and make sure they are disposed of properly so they don’t wind up in our water supply. Last year, the VPD collected about 50 pounds of expired drugs.
