You’ve got until the close of business on Tuesday, April 19, to register to vote in the May 10 Town Council election. If you do not know whether you are registered to vote, you can check your status through this New Jersey state Department of Elections Web site.
If you are not registered, download and print out this form, then bring it to the Town Clerk’s office 600 Bloomfield Avenue in the center of Verona.
If you want to vote by mail in the election, you have to download and print this form and mail it or bring it to the Essex County Clerk (the address is right on the form). You do not need to be out of town on election day to opt to vote by mail. If you mail it in, your application must reach the clerk seven days before the election. If you want to deliver it in person, the deadline is 3 p.m. on May 9.
But why wait? This election is too important to miss, Verona.
