On May 6 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., the Verona High School lacrosse program will be hosting a food fundraiser to help offset the teams’ pay-to-play contribution.

“Taste of Verona (and Beyond)” will feature food from restaurants and caterers in Verona and surrounding towns, with wine and beer included. Tickets are $35 per person, and a portion of your ticket will go directly into the pay-to-play account of a player of your choice from the boys or girls  lacrosse teams.

The food providers include CulinAriane, Hobcaw Cafe, Tortilla Sunrise, Anthony Franco’s Pizza, Subway, Mardi Gras Fine Foods, Miele’s Restaurant, Salute, Eight Hills Caterers, The Towne Scoop, Frank Anthony’s, Trattoria Bella Gente, Verona Pizza, Grasshopper, and Bill and Harry’s, with beer and awesome wings contributed by John Milmoe’s Sharky’s Wings and Raw Bar.

To participate, download this form, and send it with your payment to either Maureen Scandiffio, 14 Highland Terrace, or Lisa Ednie, 80 Harrison Street. There’s space at the bottom of the form for you to specify the player account to be credited. If you are a parent of a junior lacrosse player, you can put in the name of your son or daughter, and the Verona High School Lacrosse Parents Association will establish an escrow account that can be used when your child gets to high school.
