Taylor DelColle had a heck of a day in Hudson County yesterday. The senior goalie, seconded by junior Jake Facey in the fourth period, had a shutout as the Verona boys lacrosse team rolled up a 16-0 victory over Union City High School. Colin Farawell, Cooper Neale and Greg Schiffenhaus scored three goals apiece.

The boys, who are now 2-0, face Nutley in a 4 p.m. away game on Thursday and Livingston on Friday at 7 p.m., in Livingston.

Fred Goode got the highlights.
