Whitehorne Middle School will offer free, one-on-one computer training to Verona seniors. The BEST Club, a self-esteem program for girls  at H.B. Whitehorne, will demonstrate computer basics (using a mouse and keyboard), as well as how to create and e-mail account, navigate the Iinternet safely, and do online grocery shopping  and research, including how to search for health-related information online.

The program is sponsored by Verona LIVE, the new information resource for Verona senior citizens, and the Verona Municipal Alliance Committee, which backs the BEST Club and other school activities.

The program will be held on April 5 and May 5, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. each day, at the middle school, which is located in the center of town at 600 Bloomfield Ave. You must register to participate by calling 973-830-0096. Transportation is available.
