Here we are again, ladies and gentlemen. Fred Goode played with your heads last week, and it seems to have made him bolder. He’s cropped the first shot so narrow that we can’t even make it fill the featured photo spot on the home page.
It’s a very slim clue, so you’re going to have to cast your thinking as wide as possible. Put your best guess in the Comments field below with your real name and real e-mail address and you’ll have a real chance to win a signature MyVeronaNJ baseball cap.
UPDATE: We’ve added a second third fourth photo.

Is it the back of a DPW truck?
And we have our first “No” of the week. More to come…
Back of a Verona Fire truck.
Also No.
the truck bay of the Verona Rescue Squad Building.
I like the fact that you are being very specific, but you are still wrong.
Loading dock at pilgrim plaza
That’s the first time that we’ve had a guess for that location.
But it’s still not right.
Try again.
Fenton Construction
Nope.
Sunoco?
O-No-Co
What about the propane powered fork lift at West Essex Building Supply? That will by my one guess for this week. Therefore, let me take this opportunity to wish you a very happy birthday tomorrow, Virginia.
the Rescue squad truck
Thank you Jeff for the birthday wishes, but I unfortunately you do not have the winning guess this week. Nor you Alice.
West Essex Building delivery truck
And a double No to that.
An Ice Cream Truck? My guess is the one that’s usually parked by Everett Field. At the corner of elmwood and bloomfield ave. Bobs ice cream I think it’s called.
You know, we saw Bob yesterday, prepping his truck for a new ice cream season. But that’s not the truck in the photo.
Hillcrest farms delivery truck?
Could it be Twin Method Cleaners delivery truck?
Return to sender, Michele and Julie. Watch for a new clue tomorrow.
the recycling center?
Did that already. Week 16. https://myveronanj.com/2010/11/11/where-in-verona-is-it-the-recycling-center/
Essex County Public Works building (Behind the Community Center)? Or is that not Verona (so close to Caldwell border I am not sure)
Yes, that is still Verona. In fact, 900 Bloomfield Avenue (where the county DPW is) is also now the home of the county’s offices for senior services.
But that’s not where Fred is this week.
Carnevale’s Firestone
Friel Brothers Paving Co, 251 1/2 Grove Ave
Wow. That’s very specific. But still wrong.
Same for you, Alice. And I apologize for not letting you know sooner. There’s always tomorrow.
Alberona Auto Repair
No. (Answers posted after my bed time do not get looked at until the next day)
Former Brunner Dodge Parking Lot
And Mike has just won himself another hat! Congratulations.
