10U Baseball Team Headed For Championship

The Verona 5th grade fall travel baseball team defeated Totowa 6-0 on Tuesday night and now advances to a championship game against South Orange/Maplewood. That game will be Saturday, October 30, at 7 p.m. at the Glenfield baseball complex in Montclair. Verona got into the championship by beating both North Haledon and No.2 seed Totowa. The Verona team now stands at 10-2 on the season and is playing “up” in a league consisting 5th and 6th graders.
