The new Subway restaurant on Bloomfield Avenue near the Pompton Avenue intersection has been open for two months, but owner Don Johnston has sent us a note to say that he will be having a grand opening on Saturday, October 30.
The event will start at 11 a.m. and feature dignitaries, a DJ and someone that Johnston calls “the famous SubMan”. But there’s a also chance for you to have a free six-inch sub all weekend long: Johnston says he has put coupons in the mail to all Verona residents.
“I am excited to be able to bring Subway’s delicious, fresh products to the people of Verona, Montclair, Cedar Grove and West Orange,” says Johnston. “I look forward to meeting the residents and invite everyone to stop by and try our world-famous submarine sandwiches.”
The new Subway is at 45 Bloomfield Avenue. Its normal business hours are from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
