Hillbillies Fall To Glen Ridge

Verona and Glen Ridge cooperate on the ice in hockey, but in football they are rivals and yesterday, in an early afternoon game, it was our eastern neighbor’s turn to win.

Glen Ridge got on the board first with a 60-yard run by Michael Rollo. But Bobby Kaslander answered back for Verona almost immediately, taking a Matt Rosenfeld pass into the end zone. Rosenfeld would later connect with Joe Costa and Mike Harrington, and Kaslander added the extra point on both. The final score was Glen Ridge 31, Verona 21.

Fred Goode was there and sent us this series of photos. You can see more on his Web site, Fred Goode Productions.
