Connie Carpinelli

Mrs. Consiglia (Connie) Carpinelli died on Saturday, August 14, 2010, in Glen Ridge.

A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Tuesday, August 17, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Born in Gallo, Province of Naples, Italy, Mrs. Carpinelli came to the U.S. in 1952 and lived in West Orange prior to moving to Verona in 1968. She was a Cashier for the ShopRite of Livingston for 25 years, retiring in 1994.

Mrs. Carpinelli was a member of the Verona Senior Citizens and an honorary member of the Verona UNICO. She is the recipient the Community Service Award from UNICO.

Mrs. Carpinelli is the wife of the late Giacomo Carpinelli, the mother of Nicolina Carpinelli, Anthony Carpinelli and his wife Dee Dee, Giuseppe (Joseph) Carpinelli and his wife Laura, Gerardo (Gerry) Carpinelli, Jr. and the sister of Anna Piscopo and Ellena Russo. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sarah, Giancarlo, Valentina and Anna.

Memorial donations to Verona UNICO (Carpinelli Scholarship Fund), c/o 80 Elmwood Road, Verona NJ 07044 would be appreciated.
