For the last two summers, the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit has taken children on virtual voyages to ancient Jerusalem and the Sea of Galilee as part of its innovative, interactive Vacation Bible School.

This year, Holy Spirit’s Vacation Bible School will take the storytelling to Egypt and look at Joseph’s journey from prison to palace. The kids get to dress as ancient Egyptians and experience Joseph’s life through music, crafts, good food and fun. Your children don’t need to have participated in the previous VBS sessions to understand, or enjoy, this year’s event.

Holy Spirit’s Vacation Bible School takes place from June 28 to July 1, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. To enroll your children and their friends or find out how you can help behind the scenes, e-mail Jane Eliasof.

Holy Spirit is located at 36 Gould Street, across from the middle school field, and draws members from many diverse communities. For more information, contact the church at 973-239-2850 or e-mail [email protected] .
