If you are marching in the Memorial Day parade with one of Verona’s many civic groups, you need to be at Everett Field on the east side of town at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 31. The parade steps off from the field at 10 a.m. and continues west to town hall. The Memorial Day ceremony will take place once all marchers have reached the center of town.
Town government offices and the Verona Public Library will be closed on Monday. The library will also be closed on Sunday, May 30.
Town offices will be open regular hours today and will also be open from 9 a.m. to noon tomorrow, Saturday, May 29, so you can pick up your pool badges. Remember to bring your driver’s license and a current PSE&G bill to prove your residency to claim your badges.
The Verona Pool opens for the season on Saturday. Holiday weekend hours are noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Memorial Day and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. There is an hour for adult swim before the pool opens each day. The pool will only be open on weekends until Friday, June 25, when it goes full-time. All the pool hours, rules and rates are here; remember that, this year, you can buy six guest passes in a block for the price of five.
