Girls’ Lax Crushes Governor Livingston

Folks in Berkeley Heights probably aren’t big fans of Verona this week.

On Tuesday, the Boys’ Lacrosse team defeated their opponents from Berkeley Heights’ Governor Livingston High school 6-3 in a game dominated by Greg Schiffenhaus and Greg Keating.

Yesterday, the Verona Girls’ Lacrosse team did their male counterparts one better, crushing the Governor Livingston team by a score of 17-6.

Scoring was led by Julieanne Mascera, who had 5 goals and 1 assist, DonnaJo DiNorcia had a hat trick and 2 assists, Tedi Rosenstein had 2 goals, Casie Milmoe had 2 goals and 1 assist, Caroline Brenneis had 2 goals, Lindsey Bongo
had 2 goals, Shannon Curren had 1 goal. Paige Zebrowski and Eva Brandt also had assists in the game. Goalkeeper Melanie McClellan had 5 saves.
